Wilson Carr

    Wilson Carr previously played full-time and toured with late Texas bluesman Jeff Strahan and participated in the International Blues Challenge in Memphis. After he joined blues rockers Meagan Tubb and Shady People, the group won the Independent Music Award for best blues song in 2008. They opened for Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Carolyn Wonderland, Drivin’ and Cryin’, Cowboy Mouth, The Mother Truckers, and Charlie Robison. Also, he played for Aussie blues guitarist Karl Morgan and country performer Aaron Navarro. After moving to Portland, OR he co-founded jazz funk quartet Mark it Zero and he joined Wamba in 2015.
